Disease

Disease can be divided into two types, infectious and non-infectious. Infectious disease is comprised of bacteria, virus, fungus and parasite. Non-infectious can be environmental, genetic and nutrition. Intensive culture of animals in aquaculture increases the susceptibility of animals being infected by the disease. As the animals are very close to each other, sick animals can transmit pathogens to healthy animals easily. Additionally, pathogens can be transmitted much faster due to the absence of predators to remove dead bodies in the cultured tank.
