Living Habitat

Different species of penaeid shrimp have different requirements for environmental conditions. We focus on the five species of penaeid shrimp: Litopenaeus vannamei, Penaeus monodon, Fenneropenaeus indicus, Litopenaeus stylirostris, and Marsupenaeus japonicus. These species of penaeid shrimp originated from different countries with various climates. Before making any decision to culture of any species, we must first understand their environmental preference to optimise their growth performance.
